Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to store information between visits. They help maintain your session, remember your preferences, and enable core functionality. DealerPulse uses a minimal set of cookies, all of which are necessary to operate the platform. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function. Without them, you cannot sign in or use DealerPulse. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication session. Maintains your signed-in state across page loads and browser tabs. | Session (expires on sign-out or after idle timeout) |
sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | PKCE code verifier for the Supabase OAuth flow. Used during sign-in only. | Temporary (cleared after authentication completes) |
2.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies remember your preferences so the platform works the way you expect. They do not track you across websites.
| Cookie / Storage Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
dp-theme | Stores your light/dark mode preference. | 1 year |
dp-sidebar-collapsed | Remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar navigation. | 1 year |
Note: Some functional preferences may be stored in your browser's local storage rather than as cookies. Local storage behaves similarly but is not sent with HTTP requests.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
None. DealerPulse does not use Google Analytics, Segment, Mixpanel, or any third-party analytics service that sets cookies in your browser. Usage telemetry is collected server-side and does not involve client-side tracking cookies.
2.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies
None. DealerPulse does not serve ads, participate in ad networks, or use retargeting pixels.
3. Third-Party Cookies
When you interact with certain features, third-party services may set their own cookies:
- Stripe: If you visit a billing or checkout page, Stripe may set cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are functional cookies required by the payment flow. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
DealerPulse does not control third-party cookies. Their use is governed by the respective provider's policies.
4. How to Control Cookies
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View which cookies are set and delete individual cookies
- Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
- Configure your browser to notify you when a cookie is set
- Clear all cookies when you close the browser
Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to DealerPulse. If you block functional cookies, your preferences (such as theme and sidebar state) will not persist between sessions.

5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy if we introduce new cookies or change how existing cookies are used. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes (such as introducing analytics or marketing cookies), we will provide notice via a banner in the Portal dashboard.
